Tasty Dahi Bade | Dahi Bhalla Recipe( टेस्टी दही बड़े | दही भल्ला रेसिपी)

 Dahi bade is a very well known and delectable road food nibble recipe made with urad dal and dunked absorbed flavored smooth yogurt sauce. it is one of the famous road food of india. There are bunch ways of making this yogurt plunged nibble, yet this recipe devotes toward the Indian road style variety.

Preparation time : 20 - 25 mins

Cook time - 50 mins approx                Serving - 4              Dish type - Indian

Ingredients :-

  • 1 cup Urad dal, soaked
  • ¼ cup Moong dal, soaked
  • Salt to taste

Item required to add:-

  • 4 Green chilli, chopped
  • 3 tbsp Almond, chopped
  • 3 tbsp Cashew, chopped
  • 3 tbsp Raisins, chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger, chopped

For soaking :- 

  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Black salt
  • ½ tsp Red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp Tamarind chutney
  • Warm water

For presentation :

  • Dahi, Beet root
  • Tamarind chutney
  • Red chilli powder
  • Roasted Cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander chutney
  • Pomegranate pearls
  • Fresh coriander leaves , chopped for garnish

How to prepare dahi vada :-

  • In a grinder add urad dal, moong dal, salt and coarsely grind it. And transfer into a bowl, add asafoetida, cumin seeds and salt and whisk well till fluffy.
  • Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Put spoonful of batter into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain in a bowl of cold water and soak for 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, add green chilli, almonds, cashews, raisins, ginger and mix well.
  • Squeeze excess water from the soaked vadas and place in individual serving bowls. Pour some sweetened yoghurt over the vadas, then drizzle some tamarind chutney and sprinkle with cumin powder, black salt, and chilli powder.
  • Serve with curd, tamarind chutney, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, salt to taste, coriander chutney, pomegranate pearls, sev and coriander leave
